- PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT -

Through the Job Enterprise Academy, participants acquire essential job skills, develop financial management competence, and cultivate a strong work ethic. In addition, they develop intangible qualities like perseverance and dedication by attending mandatory training sessions every Friday at Pro-Vision, Inc. This comprehensive training equips our members with the tools they need to excel in personal and professional endeavors.

Within the professional landscape, JEA participants are recognized for their enthusiasm, intelligence, and adaptability. Successfully completing JEA instills confidence and self-reliance in young individuals, providing them with invaluable exposure to a wide range of professional resources.

- MENTORSHIP -

All participants receive dedicated guidance from experienced professional mentors who provide valuable feedback on their job skills, work ethic, and overall progress in the workplace. This continuous and transparent communication fosters an environment where participants can refine their ability to handle constructive criticism, embrace transparency, and uphold accountability.

As part of JEA, each participant is tasked with delivering a comprehensive presentation at the conclusion of their internship. This presentation, delivered to representatives from both Pro-Vision, Inc. and the host company, focuses on pivotal "Teaching Moments" encountered by young individuals throughout their internship journey. These moments may arise from personal setbacks or rewarding outcomes, highlighting valuable lessons learned and growth achieved.

Expectations for Hosting JEA Participants:

Once a participant has been internally screened, Pro-Vision, Inc.'s staff, in collaboration with companies like yours, assigns participants to a JEA external partner. Subsequently, the young person assigned to your company will:

  • Be responsible for contacting the person assigned as their contact at your company prior to their initial start date
  • Report to your place of business Monday — Thursday (for up to 10 weeks) at the hours instructed
  • Individuals will be accountable for their transportation to and from the workplace, consistent with the expectations set forth for all employees

In support of the program - and as an incentive for participants - we ask that your company:

  • Provide JEA participants with compensation that meets or exceeds the minimum wage for hours worked
  • Support JEA participants' continued educational growth and development by encouraging and enabling them to attend Pro-Vision, Inc.'s Friday sessions and summer leadership week
