Growth and Opportunity: The Expansion of Pro-Vision

April is tax season and although many people dread Tax Day, many enjoy the results of the tax-deductible donations that they make throughout the year. All donations to Pro-Vision are tax-deductible and make a positive lasting impact on the students and the community at large. Due to the growing student body and youth in our community, Pro-Vision is expanding tremendously and donations to the school and the programs greatly affect the success rate of students in the classroom and beyond.

Recently, Pro-Vision Academy has been in great need of expansion due to the climbing number of students. With Pro-Vision now accepting the Houston community’s young women, enrollment has increased, and subsequently the need for space accommodations has increased as well. Thanks to the support and donations from private donors and the City of Houston, part of this expansion was made possible!

The donated funds allowed for two additional classrooms, totaling 2,588 square feet, and both a library and computer lab, totaling 2,063 square feet. The addition of this space has enabled Pro-Vision to accommodate our growing number of students and has helped provide valuable space and resources that nurture our mission as a whole. Additional space enables us to enroll more students and in turn creates a  community of well-rounded, wholesome, well-educated and inspired future leaders. Community involvement is paramount to Pro-Vision Academy students. It instills a sense of pride and inspires students to give back to their community.

The Pro-Vision Ribbon Cutting event held to celebrate our growth was a wonderful success. We were proud to have had members of the community in attendance. Among the attendees, which included both city officials and donors, was Neil Rackleff, Director of Housing and Community Development for the City of Houston. As the honored guest speaker for the event, Rackleff delivered an inspirational speech to the students. A leading member of our community, his words were both encouraging and uplifting to the students enrolled in our programs.

Pro-Vision would like to extend our gratitude to the community members who aided in our expansion efforts. Together, we can contribute greatly to our community and the world as a whole by instilling hope in our future leaders.
